education in the USA and the problems

I have a work to do on the education in the USA and the problem. Could you help me?

I tell you what I've already done.

"In the USA, the educational system is decentralised, it means that the decision about the programm or the financing are not taken by the governement but by the School boards. And there is a school board in each state. They can decide to study a thing in a state and the contrary in another for exemple the Darwinism or the theory of evolution. Therefore there is a disparity between the states and an important flexibility.

The main problem in the school is the discrimination. At the beginning, some students were escorted to their chool because of the color of their skin: black.

The school is lay since the Establishment Clause which says that the USA have no official religion. In consequence, there was a debate about the creationism."

In fact my teacher wanted us to find some recent problems. Well I don't know what she really wants.
But I though there were others problems as she gave us the problem with theory of evolution and I believed there was other debate on the school programm.
Now I know more, she wants us to compare with French education
